Joint Polytechnic Graduation Ceremony 2026
5 June 2026
Empowering educators, inspiring leaders, and embracing AI-driven learning, the Joint Polytechnic Graduation Ceremony 2026 celebrated transformative growth, collaboration, and innovation in shaping the future of polytechnic education.
The Joint Polytechnic Academy for Educators (JP-ACE) Graduation Ceremony, held on 5 June 2026 at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, brought together educators from across the polytechnic sector to mark an important milestone in the professional journey of our graduands from the Certificate in Teaching & Learning for Polytechnic Educators (CTLPE) Intakes 12 and 13, the School Leadership Move-in Programme (SLMP) Intake 4, the Course Leadership Move-in Programme (CLMP) Intake 3, and the Teaching & Learning Mentor Move-in Programme (TLMP) Intake 3. The ceremony was smoothly hosted by Ms Christina Jimenez, who threaded the various segments together seamlessly.
Set against the backdrop of rapid technological advancement, this year’s theme, “Reimagining Education: Balancing Human Potential with Technology,” captures a continuing conversation and tension that is both current and critical for polytechnic educators today. The ceremony opened with an Opening Address by Mr Lim Kok Kiang, Principal & CEO of Ngee Ann Polytechnic, who welcomed graduates and guests, and highlighted the importance of leadership and innovation in teaching and learning within an evolving educational landscape.

A key highlight of the ceremony was Plenary Talk 1 by Associate Professor Tan Seng Chee (Nanyang Technological University), titled “The Tutor, The Partner, The Builder, The Foundation, The Human: A Framework for Learning in the Age of AI.”
The session offered a thoughtful perspective on how educators can reposition themselves in the age of artificial intelligence, emphasising the human dimensions of teaching while leveraging AI as a partner in learning.

A second plenary session, “AI in Practice: What Work Looks Like Now and What It Is Becoming,” was delivered by Dr Lee Kang Yam, Chief Learning Curator at The Flame Centre. The session explored practical applications of AI and how it is reshaping professional practices, offering insights relevant to educators navigating change in their own work contexts.

The ceremony concluded with a Closing Address by Dr Rajnish Gupta, Head of JP-AcE, who commended the graduates for their dedication and encouraged them to continue leading change and innovation within their institutions. He also expressed his appreciation to the many contributors who made the event possible.

The event ended on a warm and collegial note with a networking reception, where participants reconnected, exchanged ideas, and celebrated their shared journey as a community of educators.
