In this innovLogue, we bring together voices from academia, technology and industry to explore what a human- centered approach means when agentic AI becomes a learning companion and tutor. How would it impact the role of the trainer and educator that is currently envisaged as a coach and facilitator? What about the capabilities of trainer and educator that must evolve and develop to preserve the centrality of human agency, creativity and purpose?

Dr Samson Tan, Director, Institute of Adult Learning (IAL)
Dr Samson directs IAL's Learning and Professional Development Division advancing adult education and workplace learning professionalisation. Previously at Civica, he strategized education innovations. His experience includes leading learning innovations at NIE and continuing education digitalisation at Republic Polytechnic. He holds a Doctorate in Education (Western Australia), MBA (hull), and BSc Physics (NUS)
Mr Felix Goh, Strategic Lead, Google Singapore
Felix Goh is Google Cloud's Strategic Lead for Education, Edtech, and Research in Singapore. With 16 years' experience across Asia-Pacific's education and technology sectors, he specialises in collaborating with institutions to optimise teaching and learning solutions. Previously at ASKnLearn, Adobe, Rakuten and AWS, Felix provides strategic guidance and explores innovative educational technologies.
Mr Koo Ping Shung, Managing Director, Project Asia Data
Koo Ping Shung boasts 20 years' experience in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence across diverse industries. An instructor, trainer and business advisor, he co-founded DataScience SG and served as AI Professionals Association President, He holds degrees from NUS (Economics) and Adelaide (MBA), specialising in the complete data value chain.
Moderator - Darren Tjan, Specialist Adult Educator
Darren Tjan is an experienced learning and performance professional with over 20 years' expertise as a consultant, trainer and learning designer. He works with diverse public and private sector organisations, specialising in adult learning and learning technology. An ATD Certified Professional in Talent Development, he holds a Master of Arts in Instructional Design and Technology from NTU-NIE.
