Synopsis
Practical skills are best developed through practice, feedback and reflection. Using echocardiography training as an example, this webinar shows how an online simulator can create a hands-on and experiential learning environment for students. The simulator closely mimics real equipment, allowing students to practise tasks, make observations, take measurements, interpret findings and learn from more than 60 virtual patient cases. By analysing students’ progress, confidence and engagement, the teaching team used data-informed insights to refine learning activities and provide targeted support. The sharing highlights how simulation and learning data can move students from passive learning to active practice and applied decision-making.
