Synopsis
This session shares how learning analytics and GenAI were used to support adaptive learning in Thermodynamics at Temasek Polytechnic. Using LMS engagement data and the Noodle Factory Agentic AI platform, personalized quizzes, AI-supported feedback, and targeted interventions were implemented to improve student engagement and conceptual understanding.
The session will discuss implementation strategies, learning analytics insights, and practical challenges in deploying AI-enabled personalized learning in engineering education. Participants will also explore future opportunities and ethical considerations for GenAI in teaching and learning.

Fong Fook Meng (TP)

Fook Meng is a Senior Academic Mentor with over 28 years of experience in engineering education and educational technology.
His areas of expertise include adaptive learning, AI in education, AR/VR applications, and curriculum innovation. He has been actively exploring AI-enabled personalized learning approaches using platforms such as Kitesense, Brightspace LeaP, NotebookLM , and Noodle Factory to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes in Thermodynamics and engineering education. He is also an AI READY ASEAN Certified Trainer with AI Singapore and the ASEAN Foundation.
